1. Consider what values and principles you want to pass on to your children.

2. Consider the personality of your children including their strengths and weaknesses.

3. What issues are you passionate about and why?

4. Are you involved in the community and do you want your children to carry on this involvement?

5. Is education a priority you want for your children?

6. Are there words of wisdom you want to pass along?

7. Consider whether there are specific spiritual messages you want to leave your children with.

8. How much do you know about you family history? What do you want to pass on to your children about this legacy?
